China Guangzhou's industry covers machinery [m???i:n?ri](機(jī)械), shipbuilding [???p?b?ld??](造船), textiles(紡織), sugar-refinery(制糖業(yè)), household electrical appliances(家用電器), computers, petrochemicals(石化的), light industrial products for daily use, rubber products and garments. The Guangzhou Economic and Technological Development Zone(廣州經(jīng)濟(jì)科技開發(fā)區(qū)) situated in Huangpu has already taken shape(成形). Guangzhou has advanced agriculture, abounding in rice, sugarcanes(甘蔗), fruits, freshwater fish and oil crops.

Guangzhou city is the communication hub [h?b](中心)of Guangdong Province, with railways and highways radiating(輻射) in all directions, and convenient inland-water(內(nèi)陸), coastal [?k??stl](沿海的) and ocean transport.
