世衛(wèi)組織總干事譚德塞在4月1日表示，在過去5周，確診病例接近爆發(fā)性增長，幾乎所有國家和地區(qū)都報告了確診病例。

WHO Director-General Tan Desai said on April 1 that in the past 5 weeks, the confirmed cases are close to explosive growth, and almost all countries and regions have reported confirmed cases.

過去一周，死亡病例增長了一倍多，在未來幾天內(nèi)，確診病例將超過100萬，死亡病例將超過5萬。

The number of deaths has more than doubled in the past week. In the next few days, the number of confirmed cases will exceed 1 million, and the number of deaths will exceed 50,000.

世衛(wèi)組織表示，新冠肺炎是人類面臨的第一個冠狀病毒大流行，人們對于病毒所知有限，世衛(wèi)組織致力于向世界所有國家提供建立在事實基礎(chǔ)上的防控指南。
