I miss you是經(jīng)常用來(lái)表達(dá)想念之情的說(shuō)法。但是“miss”作動(dòng)詞使用時(shí)，有幾種不同的含義呢？今天，我們一起來(lái)學(xué)習(xí)下miss吧！

1、miss  想念

指因?yàn)槟澄锘蚰橙瞬辉诹耍蛘咴陔x你很遠(yuǎn)的地方，因而想念。在這種情況下，不要使用進(jìn)行時(shí)ing形式。

eg.

· Ankita misses her boyfriend who moved to Europe.

· Edgar misses his parents now that he's living in the United States.

· I miss the carefree days of my youth.

2、miss 失去

    指你找不到某樣?xùn)|西了在這種情況下，使用ing形式就很常見(jiàn)了。

eg.

· This puzzle is missing a few pieces.

· The store is missing a few thousand dollars.

· The police are looking for a missing child.(在這個(gè)句子中，“missing”是形容詞。)

3、miss  未命中

    你試圖擊打或者投擲某物但沒(méi)有命中，也就是“未擊中/未投中”的意思。

eg.
· Bobby swung at the ball and missed.

· That guy is a terrible basketball player. He always misses the basket.

· The forward missed the goal.

4、miss  沒(méi)去

    約定好了一次見(jiàn)面、一場(chǎng)會(huì)議或者某種服務(wù)，但你沒(méi)能趕上或者你沒(méi)去。

eg.

· Larissa missed her flight to New York. She'll have to get on another plane.

· Charles has been missing a lot of meetings lately.

· I'm sorry I missed the party. Was it fun?

5、miss  用作未婚女性的稱(chēng)謂

未婚：Miss

已婚：Mrs.

不確定：Ms.

eg.

· Our teacher is Miss Rickenbacker.
